The garden is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm during the period. On the 6th, Nodate (open-air tea ceremony) is held from 10 am to 4 pm, and a demonstration of Wadaiko, Japanese drumming is performed twice from 10 am and 3:30 pm. Koto (Japanese zithers with 13 strings) are played from 12 noon to 2 pm. On the 13th, Japanese folk dancers parade on the streets in the neighborhood of the garden from 10:50 am to around 2 pm. On the 20th, Shamisen (banjo-like instruments) are played from 1:10 pm, and Wadaiko Japanese drumming is performed from 4 pm. Admission is free. Some more events are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival period.
